For the first time as an organization, the Association held elections for officers that would direct its affairs for the next two years. On Saturday, September 1, 1990 Rev. Eric David, former General Secretary of the Liberian Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention administered the oath of office as National Chairman of the Ricks Institute Alumni Association, USA, Inc. to Walter B. Skinner.

Major Accomplishments:

• First corps of officers to guide the Association through its formative years
• Built a foundation of administrative and organizational procedures that would shape the affairs of the Ricks Institute Alumni Association, USA, Inc. even through today.
• RIAA donated $10,000.00 to Ricks for administrative expenses.
